Dr. Knowles was born in Fort Hood, TX, and grew up in Tampa, FL. He attended Florida State University and the University of Florida, completing a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1986. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1990 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D.) Residency Program in 1991. He worked as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and later practiced in Miami before purchasing a practice in Fort Pierce in 2002 and moving to Vero Beach. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and others. Dr. Knowles is interested in digital technology in dentistry.
