Mr H.R. Makarita

Dr. Makarita graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1988, and maintains a private practice in Vienna VA with an emphasis on aesthetic reconstructive dentistry. He believes strongly in continuing education and is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques and materials to provide his patients with exceptional dentistry. Dr. Makarita was awarded Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry. In order to achieve this, he was required to attend over 1100 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry, of which 400 of those hours involved participation courses and case presentations. He is among an elite group of cosmetic dentists who have Accredited Fellowship status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). To date, this prestigious professional designation has been awarded to only 67 dentists worldwide. Dr. Makarita is currently the only Accredited Fellow in the state of Virginia. Dr. Makarita is a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, a Master of the International College of Oral Implantology, a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a board member of the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics. Dr. Makarita was recognized internationally by winning numerous smile gallery awards with the AACD, including the prestigious People’s Choice Award. His cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry has been featured twice on the cover of the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and he has authored clinical articles related to Aesthetic Reconstructive Dentistry, Dental Photography and Occlusion. He has been voted among the Top Dentists in the Washingtonian Magazine and the Northern Virginia Magazine for the past several years. Dr. Makarita is a national and international lecturer in the field of aesthetic reconstructive dentistry and Occlusion.
