Dr. Zinah Shakir is a foreign-trained dentist who earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Baghdad in 2007. She later continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors in Vulnerable Populations. Through this program, she devoted her personal time to providing comprehensive care to refugees, survivors of torture and individuals affected by human trafficking — experiences that deepened her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered dentistry. She was also honored with the Columbia Dentoform Corporation Award for her outstanding service to the community. With several years of clinical experience, Dr. Shakir is known for her thorough, transparent approach and her dedication to delivering the highest quality of care.
