Dr. Tim Obradovich was born and raised in Iron Mountain, a small town in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. As a young kid, he was drawn to activities involving the use of his hands, including sports and woodworking. He loved the idea of being able to create, fix, and build things, but he was also passionate about people. Dentistry allowed him to blend these passions into one career, where he could create lasting relationships with families and play an integral role in their healthcare. Following undergraduate training in Kinesiology at Michigan State University, Dr. Obradovich attended the University of Michigan to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He then chose to pursue further training in a general practice residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. This experience provided extensive training in esthetics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, implants and grafting, molar endodontics, management of TMJ disorders, dental trauma care, and management of medically compromised patients. Dr. Obradovich believes that the foundation for truly great dental care is open communication and trust between provider and patient. He utilizes his advanced training from the Kois Center to comprehensively diagnose and customize treatment plans for each patient based on their individualized risk assessment and needs. He believes that oral health and overall health go hand in hand–often, dentists can be the first healthcare provider to detect diagnoses such as cancer, diabetes, or even heart problems. He prides himself on being calm and compassionate, and he’s committed to being his patients’ biggest advocate. In his spare time, Dr. Obradovich enjoys hanging out with his wife Kathryn (Genoa), son Aidan, daughter Lena, and the rest of his family, friends, and rescue dog Luna. He loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and being active. Dr. Obradovich is beyond excited to set down roots with his family in Clarkston and become a member of this great community.
