Dr. Auten is a native of Whitney he graduated from Whitney High School in 1970 and married Annette that summer. After attending Hill Jr. College, Texas A&M University and Baylor College of Dentistry, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1977. After graduation, he moved back to Whitney and opened his practice on July 2, 1977. Dr. Auten provides general dentistry care such as cleanings, filling, crown and bridge work, extractions, full and partial dentures, implants and some root canals. He treats emergency care patients daily. As for his practice philosophy, he has adopted the prayer of Jabez found in I Chronicles 4:10, “Dear Lord, I pray that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” Dr. Auten and staff welcome new patients and promise to do the best we can to properly take care of those who come to us. Away from the office, Dr. Auten enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.
