Dr. Rachel Zachary hales from North Carolina, where she then attended UNC-Chapel Hill and received degrees with honor in Biology, and Chemistry. While at UNC, she volunteered at multiple Mission of Mercy Dental clinics, continued to job shadow, and traveled to the Dominican Republic on a dental mission trip. While obtaining her dental degree at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the recipient of many honors, including the Baldridge scholarship (for the top student in her dental class), the Nakamoto-Porter Excellence in Dental Physiology award, the American Academy of Orofacial Pain award, the American Academy of Periodontology award, and the International College of Dentists Student Humanitarian award. She has received extra training in Invisalign and implant dentistry. Patients particularly love “Dr. Z” as we know her, because of her passionate, gentle, patient-centered care and attention to detail.
