Mr W. David Allen

Born and raised in Athens GA, Dr. Allen has grown up with dentistry in his family. A fourth generation dentist, his great grandfather (Parker Edmonds), his grandfather (James B. Allen) and his father (William E. Allen), practiced dentistry and orthodontics, respectively, for many years in Athens. It was at an early age that the younger Dr. Allen knew he wanted to follow in his grandfather and father’s footsteps. After attending the Baylor School, Dr. Allen went on to attend the University of Georgia in his hometown. After graduating from UGA, he went on to study dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia, where he earned his DMD. He was subsequently accepted to and completed an additional one year general practice residency focusing on the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, IV sedation, and the treatment of medically compromised patients. He began practicing in Athens soon after. In his spare time, Dr. Allen spends time with his lovely wife, April, and his son, Watts, and his daughter, Reves. He loves to fish and enjoy the outdoors whenever he can find time on the weekends. He and his wife are active with the First United Methodist Church and participate with various charities and volunteer work.
