Dr. Rachel is a Michigan native (Go Cardinals! Go Blue!), but has called Southern California her home for the past 5 years. She attended Andrews University for her undergrad where she majored in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. She attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and upon graduating she spent one year at University of Michigan's General Practice Hospital Dentistry Residency Program... In this program, she had the opportunity to treat dental patients that required a hospital setting. She worked with patients such as individuals with special needs, head and neck cancer patients, and emergency room patients. In her spare time, Dr. Rachel loves spending time with her family: husband (Dr. Chu) and her 4 year old, Naomi. As a family, they love being outdoors, gardening, swimming, reading, and playing Animal Crossing! She is active in her church, helping out at Beginners Sabbath School and Adventurers. She loves baking and eating desserts (while Dr. Chu is great at savory food). Dr. Rachel is a life long learner in dentistry and is currently enrolled in the Supra-Gingival Minimally Invasive Dentistry Mini Residency program at the Los Angeles Institute of Clinical Dentistry.
