Dr. Guthrie earned a Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry and Management from Washington and Jefferson College. While attending Washington and Jefferson, Dr. Guthrie was a member of the Men’s Ice Hockey team and the Phi Kappa Psi National Fraternity. The research he completed while in college has also been published in Washington and Jefferson’s Physical Chemistry Applications and Theory Journal titled “Enthalpy Changes Through the Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide with Various Iron Catalysts Using Solution Calorimetry”. Following graduation, Dr. Guthrie went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he received the Frank E. Jeffery’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence. After dental school, Dr. Guthrie furthered his training at Virtua Hospital’s one-year General Practice Residency program. While there, he achieved advanced training in all aspects of dentistry including Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Cosmetic Dentistry. In addition to being a member of the local dental association, Dr. Guthrie is a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Guthrie works hard to offer our patients a welcoming and comfortable experience. He knows that you may be anxious about your visit, and will do everything he can to help you feel at ease.
