Dr. John M. Burchfield grew up in Golden, Colorado. He attended Ralston Elementary, Bell Middle School, and Golden High School where he graduated with honors in 1988. He spent his college undergraduate years at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and received his Bachelor of Science diploma in Chemistry with honors in 1992. Dr Burchfield continued his chemistry education at the University of Denver where he gained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry in 1994. Dr Burchfield attended the University of Colorado Dental School, and graduated in the top third of his class in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He is a member of the Metro Denver Dental Society, Colorado Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Burchfield has been awarded the Delta Dental Certificate of Excellence from 2006 to the present. Dr. Burchfield has also been recognized with the Colorado Gerontological Society Award.
