Dr. Ashley Mooney was born and raised in Genesee County. She knew she wanted to be a dentist from a young age. After graduating from Notre Dame High School, she received a B.S. in Biology from Niagara University where she also conducted honors research. Dr. Mooney attended SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, and completed a general practice residency at ECMC with a focus on Oral Oncology. Dr. Mooney received extensive training in medically compromised patients and patients with special needs. After working several years in private practice, Dr. Mooney made the choice to practice closer to “home.” She enjoys continuing her education to make dentistry more predictable and comfortable for her patients. Dr. Mooney is also known as a “Pankey Dentist” for her training and involvement with the prestigious Pankey Institute, which focuses on patient-centered, comprehensive dentistry for every patient. TMJ, cosmetic dentistry, and integrating oral health with systemic health are among the extensive skills the Pankey Institute supports. Dr. Mooney is looking forward to being involved with the community, and serving the patients of Genesee County with a personalized approach, because she believes every patient deserves individual attention.
