Dr. Jessica Shireman DMD AIAOMT loves practicing holistic dentistry. She has been practicing holistic dentistry for over a decade. Her interest in dentistry started during her childhood and she has never looked back. She has a unique, patient-health-based approached to dentistry. She holds both SMART certification and is Accredited by the IAOMT in safe-mercury removal. She strives to keep up with safe and healthy dental treatments for patients. She has completed extensive continuing education in the Spear-based codiagnostic treatment planning methodology, ozone therapy and airway management and many other areas. In her first years of practice, she focused on ensuring safety during mercury removals and the toxicity of fluoride. She enhanced her journey in holistic dentistry by understanding how airway issues can be the root cause of many holistic health issues. She understands how lifelong learning is important to the profession of dentistry and is always exceeding the annual requirements for continuing education. In the past several years, she has added many services to her practice including 3-D imaging, ozone therapy, zirconia implants, microscope identification of oral pathogens. Dr. Shireman is originally from Kansas City, Missouri, where she demonstrated her commitment to research and health during a high school Americorps program. She got her undergraduate degree from Grinnell College, in Grinnell, Iowa and attended dental school at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2009, where she served in many dental leadership groups. During dental school, she completed a one-year research fellowship through Howard Hughes Medical Institute where she did research at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She holds numerous patents and publications.
