Dr Rafaela Dejanovic

Dr. Rafaela Dejanovic was born in Croatia and grew up right outside of Manhattan. Her mother, Dr. Ljiljana Frkovic, a dentist herself, was her inspiration for pursuing a career in dentistry, along with her friend and childhood orthodontist, Dr. Kathleen Hargaden. Dr. Rafaela received a Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University and a Masters in Biomedical Science from Rutgers Medical and Dental School. She graduated from NYU College of Dentistry where she trained with the pioneers in cosmetic dentistry, and went on to do a general residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, a level 1 trauma hospital, before moving to Wilmington in 2017. She prides herself in relating to her patients and making sure they feel comfortable in the dental chair. Dr. Rafaela really enjoys raising people's confidence by perfecting their smiles and "curing" their dental anxieties. Dr. Rafaela continues to educated herself relentlessly in cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, Invisalign, sleep medicine, TMJ, among many other things. She is member of Cape Fear Study Club, Kois Study Club, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, to name a few. She is also a proud member of the Rotary Club of Wilmington and enjoys giving back to the community.
