Dr. O'Connor went to Hood College, in Frederick, Maryland. She graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1987. She practised in South Williamson, Kentucky until 1993, when she bought the practice in Galax. She has a Fellowship and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry and is well on the way to her first life-long learning award. Dr. O'Connor loves dentistry. For her first 25 years of practice, she only went on holiday to go to dental continuing education meetings, or to work at dental missions. She currently sings in her church choir and in the Highland Camerata. She has acted in some local theatre productions. She loves riding horses, and breeds standard poodles. Married over 30 years with five children, lives in Grayson County near Independence. Extensive volunteer work including mission trips to Mexico, Bolivia, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Honduras, and various US locations.
