Dr. Katmeh received his dental degree from Syria. After finishing his degree, he moved to the United States, where he researched many dentistry fields, including orthodontics and periodontics. Dr. Katmeh then started his residency in periodontology and implantology at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. During his residency program, he obtained a master's degree in the field of biomaterials, winning multiple research awards for his thesis, "Non-Contact Index of Periodontal Inflammation." After completing his specialty in periodontics and master's in biomaterials, Dr. Katmeh completed a one-year fellowship in Implant Dentistry, where he treated more complex surgical cases and became involved in the restorative phase of implant treatment. During this time, he started teaching and supervising periodontal residents at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He continued to teach for about a year before moving to private practice. When he is not working, Dr. Katmeh enjoys cooking, playing soccer, and spending time with his beautiful wife and two children, Nahla and Younis.
