Dr Islam Dehis

Dr. Dehis received his Bachelors in Dental Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University, Egypt, where he also completed his General Practice Residency. After his residency, he went on to take additional training in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cairo University. A lifelong learner, Dr. Dehis continued his education at the Boston University School of Oral and Dental Medicine, where he received a DMD with honours. Dr. Dehis has an expanded scope of practice, and he believes that there is always room to learn and grow your skills. To understand the needs of anxious and phobic patients, he studied IV Conscious Sedation at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He also participated in the Aesthetic Advantage Continuum at the Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry. He’s a proud member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He serves as a board member of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is pursuing Fellowships with the AGD and AACD. Dr. Dehis is married to Yasmine, his college sweetheart. They have a daughter Farida, and a son Yousuf. He is into reading, hiking, boating, and woodworking, and loves returning to Egypt whenever he can.
