Growing up the son of a dentist, I quickly realized how fortunate I was. My dad would often be one of the only fathers at a weekday game. Even when I was playing in college, my parents were able to watch my games from Idaho to Florida. I knew that was something not to take for granted. After graduating from Dallas Baptist University in 2001, I went to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry and graduated in 2005. Dental school was tough, but very rewarding. After the hard work in school was a great reward, I got to work for my mentor and hero, my father. This is where I feel like I learned more in a couple of years than in 4 years of school. I was able to learn from my father’s decades of experience in patient care as well as dental care. Seeing how being honest and realistic with patients is priority number one. Making sure that patients know there are normally more options than just the most expensive one is also something that is important. After a couple of years, more good fortune, I got married to my wife, Katie. In 2008, we opened Berry Family Dentistry in Wylie. Over the next few years, we would be blessed with a son, Logan, and a daughter, Georgia. Today, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, playing golf, and being outdoors.
