A proud Canadian periodontist, Dr. Katy Chahine was born in Syria and is the eldest of three siblings. She completed her DDS at the University of Western Ontario in 2005, laying the foundation for her dedication to excellence in dental care. Following her graduation, Dr. Chahine pursued advanced training in periodontology, earning both her MSc and Certificate in Periodontology from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2008. She subsequently achieved her Fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as well as her Diploma from the American Board of Periodontology, cementing her expertise in the field. With over six years of clinical experience, Dr. Chahine brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to her patients. She is also a part-time clinical assistant professor in the Periodontology department at the University of Detroit Mercy, sharing her expertise with the next generation of dental professionals. Known for her outgoing and approachable personality, Dr. Chahine combines her extensive education and experience with genuine compassion, ensuring that every patient receives personalized, high-quality care.
