Dr. MacKenzie was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick. He studied biology at Dalhousie University and graduated in 1984. He continued his studies at the Dalhousie Dental School and received his DDS in 1988. He practiced dentistry in Kingston, Ontario, after he graduated. In 1990, he moved to Halifax to practise and has been here ever since. Dr. MacKenzie is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, Faculté for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education Study Club, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists (Fellowship Status), and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has a special interest in orthodontics and was in the Canadian International Straight Wire Orthodontic Study Club from 1999 to 2004. He’s a Gold-Certified Invisalign provider - a recognition of his skills and expertise in Invisalign treatment for crooked and misaligned teeth.
