Dr Mathieu Laforge Savoie

Dr. Mathieu Laforge Savoie completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at McGill University in 2016. Dr. Mat then completed a one-year residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York, which allowed him to gain skills and expertise in dental surgery, the treatment of medically complex patients, and managing dental emergencies. Dr. Mat continued his dental career in Saskatoon where his wife Katherine completed medical training as a Pediatrician. During this time, Dr. Mat pursued his passions for dentistry and continuing education by attending courses at the renowned KOIS institute. As a Kois graduate, it is through this network of clinicians that Dr. Mat was referred to his now friend and colleague at Smyl Dentistry, Dr. Yiu (Owner). Dr. Mat’s vision and treatment philosophy along with Smyl Dentistry’s dedication to patient care, treatment modalities, and approach to whole mouth wellness were a perfect fit. Dr. Mat’s extensive surgical and implant training, as well as a focus on understanding the link between oral health and general well-being will provide you with a comprehensive treatment strategy tailored to your needs. In his spare time, Dr. Mat likes to play hockey, golf, cooking, and travel. Most important of all, Dr. Mat enjoys spending time with his wife, Pippa (dog), and the newest member to their family, Remy, their daughter.
