Dr Robin Ratcliffe qualified as a dentist with Distinction from the London Hospital Dental Institute in 2003. He completed his Periodontology postgraduate training in 2007, with Distinction. He holds a Diploma in Dental Implantology from Warwick University. Robin has been a Clinical Teacher at King’s College Dental School at Guy’s Hospital since 2007, and is Module Lead for Year 2 of The University of Essex’s successful Periodontology Postgraduate Course. He also holds a direct clinical post as a Periodontist at Guy’s Hospital in addition to his teaching commitments. Robin provides a full range of periodontal dentistry; from the non-surgical and surgical management of gum disease, advanced bone and gum regeneration treatments, to comprehensive planning for patients whose mouths have been severely damaged and require full rehabilitation. In addition, Dr Ratcliffe undertakes aesthetic gingival recontouring and gum grafting (mucogingival surgery) around natural teeth and implants. Dr Ratcliffe is an active member of key global Periodontal and Implant societies and contributes to the promotion of periodontal health in a range of settings, both in primary care and in hospital environments.
