After qualifying from Cardiff Dental School in 2017, Lucy completed three years of further training as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Guy's Hospital London and St George’s Hospital London. She has since moved to Surrey, where she provides general dentistry and Oral Surgery procedures at Longborough Dental Practice. She also works as an Oral Surgery Specialty Dentist at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. Alongside gaining her membership to The Royal College of Surgeons, Lucy has undertaken numerous courses, including a yearlong PGCert in Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, at the prestigious Aspire Dental Academy. After working in the Sleep Apnoea Clinic at Guy’s Hospital, she is also able offer appliances to help with her patients snoring. She feels that ongoing education is an essential part of professional development. Along with her own progression, she trains newly qualified dentists at East Surrey Hospital in Oral Surgery techniques. Lucy endeavors to create a calm and relaxed environment for patients, to ensure treatments are as comfortable as possible. She strives to always act in her patients’ best interests, and feels that it is essential for patients to be at the forefront of the treatment decision-making process. Although Oral Surgery is Lucy’s area of special interest, she enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly minimally invasive and preventative dentistry. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys going to the gym, visiting National Trust houses, playing with her cat Bilbo and, when possible, she loves travelling abroad.
