Dr. DiRienzo grew up in Niskayuna, NY. She attended the University of Rochester, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in molecular genetics before continuing her dental education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. DiRienzo graduated with the gold award for top overall scholastic achievement and is a proud member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr. DiRienzo completed her General Practice Residency at UNC Hospitals which provided advanced training with a focus on geriatric and special needs care. Dr. DiRienzo enjoys working with patients from all backgrounds and is dedicated to creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and long-term oral health. Outside of dentistry, Dr. DiRienzo enjoys hiking around the Triangle and painting whenever she has the opportunity. Her number one goal is to help her patients feel comfortable and confident with their smiles, and looks forward to caring for patients of all ages. In her spare time, Dr. Cooper can be found spending time with her husband Ben, son Lewis, and fur baby Penny. She also enjoys playing piano, singing, reading, hiking, and doing cross-stitch and jigsaw puzzles.
