Dr Katy Walk

Meet Dr. Katy, a proud native of the enchanting Mississippi Gulf Coast. Her journey into the world of dentistry began in the most unexpected of places – the dentist’s chair. As a child, she found solace and even excitement in those visits, thanks to the kind and reassuring atmosphere of the dental office. While in high school, she loved seeing all of her friends’ confidence drastically change after getting their braces off. Everyone felt so much more confident when they loved their smile. That is when she knew she wanted to go into dentistry. After earning her bachelor’s degree in science from The University of Alabama, Dr. Katy pursued her dream of becoming a dentist at the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. It was there that she honed her skills and developed a deep commitment to providing compassionate care to her patients. “My favorite thing about a person is their smile. Witnessing the transformation as each individual gains confidence in their smile brings me immense joy. My ultimate goal is for every patient to leave feeling empowered to smile more freely and confidently. “I also enjoy when I can erase a patient’s fear about dentistry. The scary ways of approaching dentistry are in the past, and I like being able to help patients feel less afraid.” Dr. Katy joined Theriot Family Dental Care in 2024.
