Dr. Mitchell is originally from the small town of Ardmore, Tennessee, where she was born and raised for eighteen years. She attended undergraduate college at Auburn University in southeast Alabama and UAB in Birmingham, Alabama for dental school. She moved to Seattle in 2017 to begin the Swedish Medical Center general practice residency program. After completing the program, she worked in community health for a year at the High Point and 45th Street Neighborcare locations. She came back on as Assistant Program Director and associate dentist at Seattle Special Care Dentistry in August of 2019. Part of this job entails being a member of the hospital dentistry group at Swedish Medical Center and the Swedish Community Specialty Clinic, where she covers patient care and resident education one day per week. Dr. Mitchell is married and recently moved to the Loyal Heights neighborhood with her husband Zach, dog Zeus, and cat Rosie. She enjoys spending time with her pets and playing outdoors in her free time. She is a member of The Mountaineers Seattle branch and has been dabbling in alpine training and pursuits since 2019. During COVID, she also took up gravel biking, which is excellent cross-training for mountain sports.
