Dr Katie James

Dr. James is a Texas native, and she grew up just north of Dallas, in Plano, Texas. She has a special approach to dentistry because of the many hours she spent in the dental chair as a child and young adult. Her teeth suffered trauma at the ripe age of 4, later requiring extensive orthodontic treatment, and reconstructive jaw surgery to correct a congenital jaw defect and a less-than-ideal bite. Dr. James believes that it is truly a privilege to be able to provide treatment and education for her patients and their families. Dr. James enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and seeing patients of all ages with diverse dental needs. Katie and her husband Daniel, who works in marketing, have been married since 2015. The two actually graduated from high school together, but they did not meet until several years later when they were introduced by mutual friends. Katie and Daniel enjoy an active lifestyle, and whether it’s skiing or hiking, they love to be outdoors with their precious daughter, Devyn. Dr. James is a big fan of stand-up comedy and live music, and she loves to explore the never ending Austin restaurant scene. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, watch movies, and cuddle with her rescue chug Polly, and two rescue kitties, Sasha and Lucy. She also has a passion for interior design, architecture, photography, and supporting small businesses whenever she can.
