Dr. Raymond Vicente has been proud to call Charleston home for most of his life. Originally from California, he moved to the Lowcountry at the age of 9 before spending a few years in Puerto Rico. Eventually, he returned to Charleston, where he’s built his life, career, and a deep-rooted connection to the community. He is the proud son of Offero S. Vicente, a dedicated U.S. Navy veteran, and Mildred Vicente, both originally from Ilo Ilo, Philippines. Dr. Vicente’s passion for dentistry began right here in Charleston, where he attended local schools before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the College of Charleston. He then pursued his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to compassionate and high-quality care. For over 20 years, he has proudly served the Charleston community through his private practice, always striving to make a positive impact on his patients' lives. Beyond his practice, Dr. Vicente has a heart for service. As a member of the National Health Service Corps, he has provided essential dental care to underserved communities. Since 2010, he has also contributed over $15,000 in pro bono care through the Catholic Charities Diocese of Charleston, embodying his commitment to giving back. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Charleston Dental Society, earning the trust and respect of both his patients and colleagues. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vicente enjoys an active and adventurous life with his wife, Jennifer, and their three amazing children—Tanner, Kai, and Alexandria. Whether he’s surfing, soaking up the sun at the beach, or exploring new destinations, he cherishes time spent with family and the great outdoors. Dr. Vicente is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment for his patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles. He looks forward to welcoming you and your family to his practice!
