Dr Tanner Trent

Dr. Tanner Trent is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to the Charleston community. Originally from Northeast Tennessee, he grew up in a small town where he learned the value of community and service—values that ultimately led him to a career in dentistry. Dr. Trent graduated with honors from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After practicing in Knoxville, TN, he and his wife made the exciting move to Charleston when she was accepted to graduate school at MUSC. Now a proud member of the Charleston Family Dentistry team, Dr. Trent is passionate about building strong patient relationships and making every visit a comfortable, positive experience. He is thrilled to be part of such a welcoming and trusted practice and looks forward to serving the Lowcountry with expert dental care. Outside the office, Dr. Trent enjoys golfing, cooking, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. He also loves to travel and never misses a chance to cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers! “I am truly excited to be part of the Charleston Family Dentistry team,” says Dr. Trent. “The people here are exceptional, and I can’t wait to meet new patients while continuing to serve this wonderful community.”
