Mr Shannon Sullivan

Dr. Shannon Sullivan joins our practice after five years as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During her time at Columbia, she taught pre-doctoral dental students in both clinical and classroom environments and served on various faculty committees. Dr. Sullivan also provided comprehensive dental care to her own patients as a general dentist in the Columbia Doctors Faculty Practice where she specialized in implants, crowns, veneers and other cosmetic and restorative dentistry cases. Additionally, Dr. Sullivan completed two years of postdoctoral studies at Columbia, receiving a Faculty Fellowship in Implantology from the University. Outside of Manhattan, Dr. Sullivan has represented Columbia as a faculty leader and professional service provider in dental outreach trips for underserved communities in Maine and Guatemala. Dr. Sullivan is from Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate education at Miami University of Ohio, graduating summa cum laude and successfully competing on the Miami University Equestrian team while pursuing her degree. Following her graduation with honors from Miami University, she attended The Ohio State University College of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude. While at Ohio State, she was admitted to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society and earned the chapter’s renowned Kramer Award for scholarship, character and the potential promise for the advancement of dentistry and service to humanity. Following graduation, Dr. Sullivan completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Cincinnati, where she gained valuable knowledge and experience in surgery, endodontics, aesthetic and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Sullivan currently lives in Waccabuc, New York with her husband and two dogs. She continues to pursue her love for all things equestrian, competing regularly in dressage competitions at the national level and spending a fair amount of time on horseback exploring Westchester’s trails and nature preserves.
