Dr. Kyle Burkardt attended University of Detroit Mercy for his undergraduate degree and dental school. He was accepted into University of Detroit Mercy’s accelerated seven-year dental program and graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Biology and a DDS. Dr. Burkardt was a recipient of the Health Professionals Scholarship Program with the United States Army. After graduating, Dr. Burkardt was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Army. He continued his education at Fort Benning (now Fort Moore), Georgia. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Martin Army Community Hospital. After completing his residency, Dr. Burkardt was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for the next four years providing dental care to soldiers completing their basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Leonard Wood. After completing his active-duty service, Dr. Burkardt is excited to return to his home in southeast Michigan. The Army provided him with the great opportunity to expand his skills in restorative, periodontics, oral surgery, wisdom teeth extractions and endodontics and he has continued his education with courses in clear aligners and implants. Selfless service has always been a priority for Dr. Burkardt whether it was his time in the United States Army, one of his several dental service trips with the Christian Dental Association to Honduras or volunteering to provide dental treatment locally at Trinity Community Care in Shelby Township to the underinsured. Dr. Kyle Burkardt is originally from Monroe, MI. He has seven brothers and sisters, most of whom live in southeast Michigan. He enjoys weightlifting, reading history and philosophy, playing board games with friends, and spending time with family.
