Dr. Bartlett, a native of Alabama, is a caring and friendly doctor who believes that patients deserve the best dental treatment available in a warm and friendly environment. She decided to pursue dentistry to combine her love of artistry and the health care profession. Dr. Bartlett has a great eye for aesthetics and makes sure that all her work is not only functionally sound, but also looks very beautiful and natural. She enjoys making a difference in the lives of her patients and in the community by providing top-quality dental services. “The ability to treat someone’s confidence and self-esteem at the same time as their dental health is unique and extremely rewarding,” says Dr. Bartlett. Education & Teaching Dr. Bartlett received her DMD degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2004. She subsequently completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and returned to Alabama to go into private practice in 2006. She stays up-to-date with the latest dental techniques through regular continuing education. In 2016 alone, Dr. Bartlett completed over 150 hours of continuing education, including a mini-residency with Alabama Implant Education. In addition to running her own dental practice, Dr. Bartlett is a part-time faculty member at the University of Alabama School Dentistry, where she teaches students about various aspects of dentistry. Awards and Honors Dr. Bartlett is a recipient of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry “Outstanding New Dentist Award” and of the Eleanor J. Bushee Memorial Scholarship. In 2004, she received the “Outstanding Leader Award” from the Alabama chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists, where she later also served as vice president. Community Service and Charitable Activities Dr. Bartlett places great value on community service and has participated in numerous charitable campaigns and community services throughout her career, including serving as a volunteer for a variety of local non-profits. She has frequently donated her dental services to those in need. Her charitable dental projects include regular participation in Give Kids A Smile Day, an annual event organized by the American Dental Association to provide free dental care to underserved children in local communities. She has taken part in the Special Olympics Special Smiles program, where she provided dental care to the athletes of the Special Olympics, and she has undertaken a special Dental Mission Trip to Costa Rica to provide free dental services to the local population.
