Dr Sook Kim

Dr. Kim is originally from South Korea. She immigrated to America with her family shortly after she graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. She worked as a registered nurse for over 10 years in America and then decided to pursue higher education for better services for the community. She started her dental education in Tuft’s University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Due to her husband’s job relocation to Tennessee, she transferred her schooling to Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. She then earned a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. She continued her education in a general practice residency program in Meharry Medical College, and after she completed the GPR certificate course, she served in the same school as a clinical instructor for a couple years. Afterward, she set up her private practice in the Nashville area and successfully practiced dentistry for over five years, but then she had to relocate to Florida due to her minister husband’s transfer. She began a private practice in Mt. Dora, FL, where she discovered her love of fabricating dentures for her patients to restore their beautiful smile, while being functional at the same time. After many successful years in Mt. Dora, she decided to move to Atlanta, GA to practice with her son, Dr. Joshua Kim, to provide him with her many years of experience while also being able to see the growth of her first grandson. Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is actively involved in the functions of community services, including the biannual free clinics for the community and the various mission trips. She is an active member of the Florida Dental Association (FDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Central Florida Dental Association (CFDA). Dr. Susan Kim's mission is to treat people with honesty and integrity. While practicing in Florida, she discovered her passion for dentures and how dentures can transform people's lives.
