Dr. Tozum is a licensed dental specialist in Periodontics, who focuses on advanced gum treatments as well as implant surgeries for more than 20 years. He is a Professor of Periodontics at University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), College of Dentistry and an Academy of Osseointegration (AO) Diplomate in Surgical Dentistry. Dr. Tozum organized national and international dental meetings as well as implant dentistry related organizations, he lectured more than 100 times at national/international scientific meetings (US, Europe, Middle East and Asia), and published 155 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals related to implant surgeries, 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) imaging, and advanced periodontics. Dr. Tozum wrote and translated 14 book chapters about clinical periodontology, bone grafting and dental implant surgeries. He also served as the translation editor of a text book related to full-arch dental implant rehabilitation. He believes that evidence-based applications and communication with the patients are the keys for a successful treatment outcome. More than 20 years, he incorporates the contemporary advances in periodontics and implant surgeries in the treatment of his patient and providing a wide variety of services including surgical and non-surgical periodontal & peri-implant treatments, esthetic periodontal procedures and implant related surgical rehabilitations, i.e., conventional, and 3D-guided/CBCT/digital applications. In his free time, Dr. Tozum enjoys long-distance walking, and spending time with his family.
