Dr. Hartzell is passionate about creating healthy smiles and believes dentistry allows him to significantly impact how people feel about themselves and their quality of life. He continuously takes postgraduate courses to stay updated on dental materials and treatments, carefully evaluating new options for patient benefit. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Rogue Valley Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. He grew up in Grants Pass/Merlin, as did his wife Fran. They are raising their two young children, Graham and Ellie, in the area, surrounded by a large network of family and friends. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors, including rafting, water and snow skiing, riding motorcycles, and playing soccer. His greatest joy is being with his wife and children.
