Dr. Buchanan has devoted half of his life to helping people save, fix, and restore their teeth. He loves being a dentist and partnering with patients to improve their oral health, alleviate pain, and give them a smile they love. His faith is an important part of his life, and he is honored to pray with patients. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and older brother, who were/are dentists, he was drawn to the profession. He served as a dentist in the U.S. Army, completing an advanced education in general dentistry residency at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, in 2002-2003, and was deployed to Iraq. He prioritizes continuing education, studying advances in general dentistry, implant dentistry, and bone and soft tissue grafting. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and Rogue Valley Dental Society. An Oregon native, he lives on a farm with his wife Emily and four children (Brandon, Melanie, Olivia, and Kianna). He enjoys camping, road-tripping, DIY projects, yard work, playing drums, and is a leader for a local men’s Christian group, Wild Hope.
