Dr Jim Humphries (Dr. H)

Dr. Jim Humphries (Dr. H) feels blessed to have served the dental needs of Matagorda County for more than 30 years. An honors graduate of Bay City High, Baylor University (B.S. in Biology), and the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston (D.D.S), Dr. Humphries’ pursuit of excellence in the dental field has led him to continue learning and staying up-to-date on the most advanced dental innovations including Cerec® (Same Day Crown), Solea® Laser (Injection Free), Orthodontics (Damon® Braces and Clear Aligners), and Sleep Medicine, to name a few. Dr. Humphries is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Orthodontic Society, Texas Dental Association, and the Ninth District Dental Society. He also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the dental school in Houston. Away from the office, Dr. H has been very involved in the community and has volunteered his time and talent to many organizations including Bay City Noon Lions Club, BCISD School Board, Honduras Good Works Medical Mission, MEHOP, Women's Crisis Center, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cycling, hiking, marathons, triathlons, and iRonman events. He will always be an avid sports fan and loyal to his college and Texas teams during baseball, football, and basketball seasons! Dr. H is married to Elsa Mercado Humphries and shares his practice with their daughter Christina, (Dr. C).
