Mr Lisa Cohen,

Dr. Cohen is from St. Louis, Missouri. She came to the Washington, DC area in 1993 to attend Georgetown University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She worked as a paralegal for two years and during that time was exposed to dentistry after meeting persuasive and excited members of the profession. She then attended the University of Maryland College of Dentistry and graduated in 2003. She was third in her class, graduated Magna Cum Laude and received numerous clinical and academic awards, including being inducted into the dental honour society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She subsequently received her Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training at the Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Cohen was trained extensively in dentoalveolar, trauma, reconstructive, oral pathology, orthognathic and dental implant surgeries. She served as Chief Resident during her last year and completed the program in 2007. Dr. Cohen resides in Washington, DC with her husband and their two young children.
