Dr. Kate Pennella grew up in Pennsylvania but has always had strong ties to South Carolina. Spending her summers on Edisto Island as a little girl, she always hoped to move to the south one day. After graduating with a Biology degree from Franklin and Marshall College, she moved to Charleston, earning her doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Pennella graduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following dental school, she completed a residency in General Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After a year of private practice in Richmond, VA, she returned to South Carolina, joining the team at White Knoll Dentistry in 2011.
