Dr. Abdi was drawn to dentistry because she always noticed people’s smiles. Her husband, Ali, is also in the medical field and was a big inspiration to her becoming a dentist. She loves the cosmetic side of dentistry. Dr. Abdi was born and raised in Algeria. She attended college and dental school in Algeria. Her program placed a lot of emphasis on radiology and pathology. She completed a residency at the University of South Carolina. Since then, she has volunteered at many of the dental clinics in and around her community, including Missions of Mercy, as well as the charity she founded in Algeria called The Hope Foundation. Dr. Abdi is a member of the American Dental Association.
