Dr William Herr

Dr. William Herr’s journey to becoming the incredible dentist near Dartmouth that he is today began at the University of Maryland’s School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Shortly after starting his educational career, he realized he had a burning passion for dentistry. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, helping them achieve their personal smile-related goals. Because Dr. Herr proved a clear commitment to dentistry and had impressive clinical excellence, he received an opportunity to participate in a year-long clerkship in implant prosthodontics and oral surgery. Following that, he provided necessary services to male and female veterans who had complex medical histories during a Veteran Administration’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program. At that time, he also received specialty training in virtually all aspects of oral health, focusing on endodontic treatment, dental implants, oral surgery, and periodontal surgery. Upon finishing his formal education, Dr. Herr refined and expanded his skillset by attending numerous hours of continuing education courses. He is passionate about staying up to date on the latest developments in dentistry. In addition, he’s actively involved in professional organizations like the Academy of General Dentistry and the Massachusetts Dental Society’s Leadership Institute.
