Dr Erica DeFabio

Dr. Erica DeFabio is excited to fulfill her dream of joining her father in practice after all her years of school and training. She attended the Rumson Country Day School and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School before heading off to college. She graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and was also inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing. Dr. DeFabio attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She was the recipient of the Dr. Frank Frates Outstanding Clinician Award, an honor given to the best clinician in the graduating class. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. DeFabio completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She continued at the Manhattan VAMC for an additional three years, completing a residency in the specialty of prosthodontics. She was appointed Chief Resident of the Dental Service in her final year. With her unique nursing background and prosthodontic specialty training, Dr. DeFabio utilizes her gentle chairside manner to treat patients with complex restorative needs. She maintains professional memberships with the American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and Monmouth-Ocean Dental Society.
