Dr. Mai grew up in Thailand and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Prince of Songkla University in 2017. Driven by a deep passion for orofacial pain and sleep-related breathing disorders, she pursued advanced training in the United States and successfully completed her residency in Orofacial Pain at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles in 2025. In 2021, Dr. Mai earned recognition from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, further solidifying her expertise in managing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) through oral appliance therapy.
