Dr Rachel Malterud

Dr. Rachel Malterud is a general dentist practicing in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. She is also an adjunct assistant faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where she oversees dental students at various outreach events throughout the community. Dr. Rachel provides comprehensive dental care to her patients with a focus on preventive and minimally invasive dentistry. She is particularly interested in identifying and treating the underlying causes of dental problems to prevent future problems from occurring. Dr. Rachel graduated from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Phoenix, Arizona. She also earned her Master of Public Health degree with honors from the same institution. She then went on to earn her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, earning over 500 hours of Continuing Education and passing a very rigorous exam. She is an active member of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, the American Academy of Sleep and Dental Medicine, and the American Dental Association. She also participates in organized dentistry, serving in various leadership positions at the local, state, and national levels through both the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition to her professional activities, Dr. Rachel is a product evaluator for Catapult and a Co-Administrator for the Minnesota Smile Source Group. Dr. Rachel was recently accepted into the Minnesota Dental Association’s Leadership Academy, a 12 month leadership development program. She also enjoys volunteering with many local and national organizations.
