Dr. Ron Brungo is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. He met his wife, Maura, during their dental training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where they graduated in 1993. During their four years at Pitt, they took several additional electives including Handicapped Dentistry and externships in Oral Surgery at Montefiore Hospital and Pediatric Dentistry at Children's Hospital. Prior to opening their present practice in State College, they spent seven years practicing dentistry with the United States Public Health as Commissioned Officers in the Indian Health Service, serving on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota and in Juneau, Alaska. He holds a membership in the Academy of General Dentistry and the local Spear Study Club. He is dedicated to constantly improving his skills through advanced dental education and volunteers at the Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) clinic, where he is also a board member and Dental Director, and the annual "Give Kids A Smile" dental program. He resides in Boalsburg, has three grown children, and is active in his local church and community.
