Dr. William J. Evans, a Baltimore native, grew up in Salisbury, MD, and graduated from James M. Bennett High School. He subsequently attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences in 1975. Dr. Evans then graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Maryland in 1979. While in dental school, Dr. Evans was elected to the Gorgas Odontological Dental Honor Society. After graduation, Dr. Evans served as a dental officer (Lt.) in the US Navy in Charleston, S.C. He was a staff dentist at the Navy Regional Dental Center, Charleston, and also served as the ship's dentist and division officer aboard US Canopus AS-34, a submarine tender. While in the Navy, Dr. Evans received advanced training in the management of medically compromised patients. Dr. Evans joined Dr. Andrew Vendelis in private practice in 1983. They moved to their present location in Cockeysville in 1995. "Each patient I see is an individual with needs that are unique. Patients feel reassured by my solid background and years of experience, but I always keep in mind that even routine procedures are usually new to my patients. So, I always take the time necessary to explain everything in a way that my patients can understand. I try to make their dental procedures as comfortable as possible and hopefully educate them as well. I like to think that our patients are more than just patients, that they are members of our family and also our friends."
