Dr. Emily McCalley grew up in a close-knit, rural community in Illinois, where she spent her early years playing volleyball and helping out in her family’s greenhouse business. Her passion for working with people and creating healthy, confident smiles began early on and continued to grow throughout her education. While attending the University of Northern Iowa, Emily became a Registered Dental Assistant and gained hands-on experience by working chairside for six years, both during her undergraduate studies and through dental school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish, with a minor in Chemistry, in 2020. She then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2025. Known for her warm and compassionate care, Dr. McCalley brings a personal touch to dentistry that helps patients feel at ease. In addition to providing dental care in English, Dr. McCalley is fluent in Spanish and is happy to serve Spanish-speaking patients in their preferred language. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, gardening, spending time outdoors with her dog Maggie, and volunteering with various community organizations. Dr. McCalley looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them achieve healthy, happy smiles.
