Dr. Michael Timko established the practice in 1958, being one of the first periodontists in Pittsburgh when periodontics was in its infancy as a specialty. He was also president of the Dental Society of Western PA and served as a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, in the Department of Periodontics, for 20 years. His son, Dr. Alan Timko, resumed the practice in 1982.
