Poe graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) from Sydney University in 1990. He initially practised in Cowra, NSW, for over eight years before returning to Sydney. Poe has a particular focus on laser-assisted care, dental implants, and neuromuscular dentistry, with advanced training from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI Level 2: Mastering Neuromuscular Occlusion and Comprehensive Aesthetic Reconstruction). He has completed Nobel Biocare’s Implant Surgical Level 2 and advanced tissue management programs. Poe served as President of the Northern Suburbs Dental Study Group (2011-2013) and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association.
