Dr Tony Cherry came from the Seychelles islands. Granted a full scholarship, he graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dentistry in 2007. He has worked in private practices in Wellington (NZ), Donnybrook (WA), and Melbourne (VIC), taking over Elwood Family Dentist in 2018 from Dr Lew Steinberg. He enjoys all facets of dentistry, with keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and clear aligners, and helping patients with dental anxiety. Described as friendly, kind, caring and gentle, he prioritises communication, ethical responsibilities, and tailored treatment plans. He dedicates time to continuing education. Besides dentistry, he enjoys family time, bike riding, fitness, travel, outdoors, and church.
