Dr Kimberlyn Ong

Dr. Kimberlyn Ong was born in Singapore and graduated from the University of Queensland, where she developed a passion for helping people through the field of dentistry. From a young age, she had positive experiences with dental care, particularly with the dentist who treated her numerous cavities (which were the result of her secret sweet tooth!). Inspired by the professionalism and care she received, Dr. Ong decided to pursue dentistry as a career. With a focus on Restorative and Preventive Dentistry, Dr. Ong has worked in private practices across regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne, gaining a wealth of experience in treating a wide range of dental conditions. Her ability to create new smiles and help patients achieve optimal oral health is what she finds most rewarding about her profession. Dr. Ong takes particular pride in her approach to patient care, especially when working with those who experience dental anxiety. One of her most rewarding cases involved a patient with severe dental anxiety who was initially considering general anaesthesia due to a fear of the drill. Through patience and compassionate care over several appointments, Dr. Ong was able to alleviate her fears and complete her restorative treatment successfully, all without the need for anesthesia. Outside of the office, Dr. Ong enjoys hiking, walking her dog, spending time with her son, and exploring new cafes and restaurants. She’s passionate about maintaining a balanced lifestyle while also being deeply committed to the health and well-being of her patients. Whether it’s helping a patient overcome their fear or creating a beautiful, lasting smile, Dr. Ong is dedicated to delivering top-quality dental care in a friendly and supportive environment.
